Judges Lists

The secretary keeps an up to date list of judges willing to officiate at shows, a copy of which can be downloaded from the Documents page. These lists are prepared by the Judges Sub-Committee on the basis of the YSSC Judges List Selection Criteria. 

The lists are reviewed annually and operate from 1st January each year. Any additions are obtained from a list consisting of names of persons meeting the Club’s criteria.

Members are invited to submit names for the Club’s Judges Lists A1, A2, A3, B and C by completing and submitting a Judges Nomination Form. The nominee must comply with the Judges List Selection Criteria and the nominee must sign the form expressing his/her willingness to stand, and give judging details for the breed. Additional nominations on plain paper will be accepted, provided they contain necessary signatures, addresses and nominees affix.

*Closing date for nominations is the Last Sunday in October*

The Yorkshire Shetland Sheepdog Club will support breed classes. Rosettes for Best of Breed, Reserve Best of Breed and Best Puppy are available, when three or more classes are scheduled at Open or Limited Shows and the judge is on our B or C list. This offer only applies if the schedule carries the above acknowledgement and a copy is forwarded to the Secretary. Wins under judges on the above lists at Championship, Open and Limited shows count towards the Club’s Points Trophies.
